Hecker Eye Care has the best service and care ever. Front desk staff is very cordial and all assistants are professional and thorough . Dr. Vaughn is great at discussing and addressing concerns. Love them all

Dr.Van is very knowledgeable and is genuinely concerned about her patients. Dr.Van explains what is happening with your eyes and discuss the plan of care with you. Dr.Van is a great doctor.

Dr. Hecker came highly recommended by my retna Dr, Dr. Mathews. I was extremely apprehensive about cataract surgery but he assured me Dr Hecker was one of the best in the area. It took a couple of months to get an appointment with her but it was worth the wait. I felt comfortable with her the moment I met her. She explained options for implants, answered my questions and helped me make the best decision for my needs while taking into consideration that I have MD, am a possible candidate for glaucoma and have a stigmatism. I just had my right eye done without any issues whatsoever. My next surgery is scheduled to take place in four weeks. Once the two are complete and have had time to heal, I am confident I will get my close up vision back so I can go back to doing the things I love and have missed since my close up vision went south.

I was required to have a field vision test at my optometrist's practice. It is due to my having beginnings of macular degeneration. I am 82 years old, and The State of North Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles sent a letter to me stating that I needed to ascertain my peripheral vision scores on a form for review by their medical department. That was the reason for my visit today. The staff put me at ease, gave me a time slot of an hour for my exam, checked many visual issues with and without glasses, and filled out the form for me. I was nervous and didn't understand why I needed this test since I see either Dr. Kathryn Hecker or Dr. Chaunhi Van semi-annually and have outstanding service at this eye-care center. My final results were reassuring. I have no visual restrictions that might affect my driving ability, and there are no concerns about my ability to operate a motor vehicle; there is no recommendation from this specialist for a DMV follow up; Thank you, Dr. Van, for the thorough required exam you and three of your excellent assistants provided for me. This eye center is the top of the line, and I recommend both Dr. Van and Dr. Hecker for giving both professional service and caring support.
