Chad Frazier, OD, is an Optometrist at Hecker Eye Care Associates in Greensboro, North Carolina. He has expertise in the medical management of multiple eye diseases, including but not limited to glaucoma, diabetes, dry eyes and age-related macular degeneration. He also has a special interest in sports vision.

Dr. Frazier was born and raised in Roanoke, Virginia. He left Roanoke to attend Concord University in Athens, West Virginia on a combined athletic and academic scholarship where he pursued and completed a Bachelor of Science in Biology as well as played baseball for the Mountain Lions. While at Concord, he was a consistent member on the Dean’s list and was selected into the Blue Key Honor Society. On the field, he received Player of the Year, All-American and HM Tino Martinez honors in his tenure. After leaving Concord, he then went on to the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University, graduating with Magna Cum Laude honors. While in school, he was elected president of the sports vision club as well as being a member of the contact lens club and private practice club.

Dr. Frazier is a current member of the American Optometric Association and North Carolina State Optometric Association.

Dr. Frazier’s professional journey has been enriched with valuable experiences at various eye care facilities. Completed externships at the Salem VAMC, Appalachian Eye Care and a Pediatrics and Binocular Vision specialty at The Eye Institute has allowed him to hone his skills. From diagnosing and treating medical conditions to working alongside other medical professionals, Dr. Frazier’s expertise is both extensive and versatile.

When Dr. Frazier is not in the office, he enjoys going to sporting events, traveling with his dog, Bentley, playing golf and hunting amongst other outdoor activities.
